CPSC, Hitachi Koki U.S.A., Ltd. Announce Recall to Repair Circular Saws

CPSC published a recall notice for Hitachi circular saws from Hitachi on March 27, 2003. CPSC identifies this hazard: The lower blade guards on these saws can stick in the open position, exposing the blade and posing a serious laceration hazard. The official remedy states: Consumers should stop using these circular saws immediately and return them to Hitachi for a free repair.
