John Deere EZtrak Zero Turn Lawn Mowers with Foot Lift and Zero Turn Mowers with Premium Foot Lift Kit

Mowers Equipped with Foot Lift Option and Foot Lift Options Kits Recalled by John Deere Due to Injury Hazard

CPSC published a recall notice for John Deere EZtrak Zero Turn Lawn Mowers with Foot Lift and Zero Turn Mowers with Premium Foot Lift Kit from Deere & Company on October 27, 2010. CPSC identifies this hazard: A bolt in the right-hand steering lever can catch on the tab of the foot lift stop and lock in place, causing the steering lever to remain in the forward travel position, posing an injury hazard to the driver. The official remedy states: Customers should stop using the mowers immediately and contact a John Deere dealer to make arrangements to have the lift stop bracket removed from their machine.
