Mirka Extends Recall of Compact Electric Random Orbital Sanders Due to Fire Hazard

CPSC published a recall notice for Random orbital sanders from Random orbital on January 27, 2015. CPSC identifies this hazard: The sander can short circuit, posing a fire hazard. Incidents and injuries

Mirka Abrasives has received five reports of electrical shorting incidents which included the sanders sparking and smoking. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
