CPSC, W.C. Wood Company Announce Recall of Dehumidifiers
W.C. Wood Company
Hazard: Internal wiring can abrade on metal parts, presenting a risk of electric shock to consumers if the insulation wears through.
40-PINTRecalls involving residential heating and cooling equipment, air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.
W.C. Wood Company
Hazard: Internal wiring can abrade on metal parts, presenting a risk of electric shock to consumers if the insulation wears through.
40-PINTInvensys Building Systems
Hazard: A spring mechanism integrated with the damper, is designed to close the damper during a fire to limit the spread of smoke, fire and fumes. The recalled actuators can jam and prevent the dampers from closing. If dampers fail to close during a fire, serious injury or death can be suffered by building occupants because smoke, fire and fumes can spread through a building's ventilation system.
75-Gallon Power Vented Gas
Hazard: The water heater may have been fitted with incorrectly made flue gas baffles. These baffles may affect fuel combustion, resulting in excessive carbon monoxide emissions, which can cause serious injuries and death.

Hazard: Salty sea spray can cause the electrical capacitor within these units to corrode, posing a possible fire hazard.
77ZFA007101In-Sink-Erator
Hazard: Water can leak from the metal holding tank, wet insulating material and cause electrical arcing and heat build-up. This poses a fire hazard.
Electric showerhead hot
Hazard: The nozzle can be easily unscrewed, exposing the uninsulated heater coil. The heater coil's grounding screw does not sufficiently reduce the current through the water, posing an electrocution and shock hazard to the bather.
Gas-fired
Hazard: The burners on these boilers could produce excess carbon monoxide (CO) in the flue, due to improper combustion, posing a risk of CO poisoning to consumers.
Gas-Fired Products Inc.
Hazard: Over time, the heat exchanger could become blocked, creating a potential ventilation and cracking problem, posing a fire hazard, if nearby combustibles ignite.

Hazard: The controls have an electronic relay that may fail in a manner that will allow the burner to operate and by-pass the interlock with the flue damper. The interlock assures proper operation of the damper for removal of combustion gases. If the interlock fails, excess carbon monoxide emissions may occur.
Hunter Fan Co.
Hazard: The motors in these humidifiers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Whirlpool Corp.
Hazard: The dehumidifiers can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Natural gas
Hazard: The burners could produce excess carbon monoxide (CO), posing a risk of CO poisoning to consumers.
